Salvo’s Restaurant and Bar
The brief was to extend and update this family-run, popular Headingley restaurant.
A shop unit was acquired next door which would increase the space by 50%. Construction saw the demolition of the party walls, an extended kitchen and the WCs moved upstairs.
The concept for the design was ’1950s/urban’. Vintage touches such as the wallpaper and the furniture give a sense of the 50′s home and are mixed in with other more urban elements such as the brick walls, the aluminium bar and the industrial light fittings. The family photographs are used on acoustic panels to help reduce sound levels.
