Somewhere between art and architecture

A suite at the ice hotel offers a trip to one of Paris’ historical districts. The designers wanted to recreate the city as seen through literature and cinema with discreetly illuminated dormer windows and chunky chimney pots that dominate the room and transform it into a 3D postcard from France. The outline of the famous Sacré-Cœur basilica was carved into one end, with rooftops scattered along the rest of the wall. The entire artwork looks a bit crooked and resembles cartoon scenery. Wonderful!
