Interior and Low Allergy Design for PPS 7 Zero carbon house
All materials used will be chosen for their low VOC rating and should give off low levels of chemical vapour. Materials used should not have commonly rated allergenic properties.
Natural low odour paints, varnishes and glues will be used. Plastics and other materials will be avoided where possible.
Rough surfaces and dust traps will allow easy cleaning to avoid the build up of dust and dirt.
The whole house ventilation system will have a high specification air filter to remove pollens, dust and other allergenic particulates to “Pasivhaus†standard.
Recycled materials, renewably sourced, local supplies, reusable products will be preferred. Materials with low embodied carbon and which do not harm the environment or the user are a priority.
